I have recently had problems with some fl* files (~26mb) comming up
with bad block errors when loading into Apex. I first noticed this
when playing them back with M_Player so I thought maybe I could
correct the problem by loading them into Apex and resaving the file.
When Apex comes to the bad spot of the file, I get th oh my, Apex has
expreienced a crash message. I have kept the files on my IDE drives,
so I don't think they have become corrupt becasue of a SCSI problem.
It seems to happen a little at a time. First I notice a line or two
across the screen during playback, then it starts to get worse the
more times I play it back until the file causes both M_Player and Apex
to crash.
I wouldn't think M_Player to be causing file damage, but can't figure
out what is going on. Does anyone know of a utility that can "look"
through a file and correct the block size? I really hate to have to
capture these again until I know what the problem is.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
