Hi,

I have just tried the 32 MB EDO 50ns double-sided 16 chips SIMM in the slot
0 with empty slot 1 and with all combinations of JP1/2 (even with the
suggested JP1 1-2, JP2 2-3). SIMM is always recognized properly, and always
forgets the data written to it (approx. from $28A8xxx address up).

So I am giving up and will try to sell that SIMM.

BTW, my AB40 is not 9/96 (as I wrote two days ago), but 8/95...
